The International Union for Conservation and Nature’s (IUCN) World Conservation Congress brought together government and NGO representatives to debate and decide on key issues concerning climate change and nature conservation. At the Members’ Assembly, the highest decision-making body of IUCN, Members voted to set the direction of conservation policy for years to come.
Conference Rental was the selected partner for the congress conferencing technology provision with an integrated solution that included simultaneous interpretation, conference discussion, electronic voting, software control, IC card sign-in and auto video tracking systems.
Key to the success of this event was Conference Rental’s ability to develop a highly customized solution that met the complex technical specifications necessary to comply with IUCN’s voting procedure and governing statutes, including: ability to categorize votes by organization with different voting power, ability to quickly produce and update personalized voting cards for each delegate, the ability to conduct multiple choice voting of more than five selectable choices with display on the unit’s LCD screen of all choices available, ability for a delegate to assign their voting rights to another and to cast all proxy votes on one device, custom audience display of voting results, statistics reports and archiving.
